Lawmaker offices are bombarded with messages of all kinds - emails, letters, phone calls, and (gasp!) sometimes faxes. It's difficult to keep track of all the messages coming in about various topics, so all offices use different sorting mechanisms to help efficiently manage constituent communications.

When you send a message to your lawmakers on Countable, it's delivered in the same manner as if you contacted them through their contact form on their website. While it's difficult to know when your message was read, many have gotten responses back (via email and post).

We've started compiling a list of responses users have gotten back from their reps on Twitter. Send us yours if you got one!
